Bare Bones Board Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
This FAQ will updated with answers to customer questions deemed to be of general interest.
Q: How long does it take to put a BBB together.
A: That depends on experience. Plan on it taking 30 to 45 minutes for a person with intermediate soldering skills who has put one together before and an hour or so for a complete beginner. Customer accounts are welcome if your experience varies.
Q: How much current does the BBB draw.
A: About 25 mA at 5 volts
Q: Does Modern Device have a choice of female headers for the 3x7 analog pins.
A: Yes, we'll get them up on the site soon. In the meantime, we're putting females on assembled boards, by default. All new kits ship with both female and male headers so you can decide, and use the (unused) other headers for mating plugs.
