These big, colorful switches are similar to our smaller Momentary Pushbutton Switches, but they come with different colored 13mm caps that snap on top of them.
The key to using these switches is figuring out which leads are actually switched. The switching action happens between the closer leads. The other two leads are connected internally (shorted) to the leads that switch. The photo included on the breadboard is actually incorrect – you’ll want to rotate the switch 90 degrees to get them to work correctly on breadboards. It can also be useful to flatten out the leads with pliers to get them to stay in a breadboard.
The caps come in Red, Black, Green, Blue, and White.
