The Thermo Plug is a small, versatile board with room for one of three types of temperature sensors, and either a buzzer or a transistor driver for a modest load such as relay, small motor, or light.
The different temperature sensor options support various temperature ranges and accuracies:
- an NTC resistor (use a glass type for higher temps)
- a DS18B20 1-wire temperature sensor (up to 125°C)
- a K-type thermocouple with an on-board AD597 chip
The Assembled Thermocouple Plug comes with the AD597 chip already soldered on. The kit contains the other discrete components to select from and solder to the board. Includes K-type thermocouple with 1-meter leads which can be used up to 350 °C and a board-mounted buzzer. Does not include NTC resistor or DS18B20 sensor. Headers for this and all other JeeLabs plugs can be found here (straight) and here (right angle).
The PCB Only version contains just the printed circuit board for the Thermocouple Plug. No parts, no headers.
